We've been teaching the piano, singing, music theory, songwriting and music production for the past 20 years in London, Ascot & Brighton. People of all different ages and all levels, from complete beginners to advanced players. We love all types of music passionately, and teach all styles, from classical to jazz, folk, rock, pop, and even EDM (electronic dance music)!

 

We have a lot of patience and experience with starting beginners from scratch; dealing with nerves and stage-fright; and strongly believe that it is never too late to start learning to sing or play a musical instrument! Our focus is always on having fun with music, and helping you to express yourself creatively. 

 

We teach online, via Zoom, and from our home in Saltdean. Unfortunately, we can’t teach students at their homes. Saltdean is only a quick 20 min journey by car or the No.27 bus from central Brighton (depending on the traffic).

 

Playing technique is approached in a relaxed (tension-free) and open-minded way, incorporating all the best bits of many different singing and piano schools. Lessons are tailored to each student, and may incorporate music theory, ear training, sight reading, improvisation, songwriting, music history, or computer technology, depending on the student’s needs.

We encourage good, old-fashioned values, presented in a contemporary way, but at the same time still being extremely fun and engaging! Hard work, tenacity, patience, discipline, good time-keeping, humility, empathy and most of all, passion for music, are essential for the making of a well-rounded, capable and truly talented musician.
